Results of the surveys for the patch EA 0.7.4 and for the patch EA 0.7.5

Hi everyone!
Our next patch will be a big one! It is currently stabilized and we plan to release it to you next week to you.
So today we want to share the survey results of patch EA 0.7.4 and of patch EA 0.7.5 with you.

Results of the survey for the patch EA 0.7.4
(from March 15th 2019 until April 5th 2019)

You can find the detailed results for every question here: Link

The main focus of patch EA 0.7.4 was the dynastic trade and the way you are notified about what’s happening in the game.

  • First big thing we implemented is that the AI is also engaging in dynasty trades. The majority of you like that change. Nevertheless sometimes the way they decide what to offer or what to accept is a bit weird. In the next version we have some changes to make their decisions more “intelligent”.
  • Alliances and peace negotiations are now done via the dynasty trade and not directly via actions anymore. This change was very well received!
  • AI dynasties are now declaring feuds. It seems that the reason why they are declaring a feud on you are sometimes way too nebulous. Right now they mainly react if a family gets too powerful or if they want to increase their rank. We will further improve that, so their decision behavior makes more sense.
  • Before EA 0.7.4 there was no way of knowing about the relationship between all the dynasties. That was changed and it seems that you really appreciated that new feature.
  • Despite only being a supporting system in the game, the notification system is crucial in order to be able to capture everything that could be of value for you in the game. The new system was very well received, particularly the urgent notifications.
  • We also added a new comparison UI when you want to apply an action on a target. Around 40% of you said it’s fine. Is there information that you all are missing?
  • Also the dynasty UI was reworked in order to allow you to inspect the dynasty trees of other dynasties, check what they own and also get an overview on evidence collected. That change was very well received as almost 95% said that they will use the UI now more often.
  • Before EA 0.7.4. There was no prominent message informing you that a competitor or a leader of a competitor bit the dust. That change was also well received.
  • The AI is now able to hire henchmen and also use all the actions that henchmen can do. The impact on the gameplay was definitely felt according to your replies.
  • To make the game look nicer, we changed the water in the game. Nobody thought the old water was better, so that’s already a good sign.

Results of the survey for the patch EA 0.7.5
(from April 5th 2019 until May 3rd 2019)

Patch EA 0.7.5 (and patch EA 0.7.5.1) was all about adding improvements, balancing content and bug fixes. The biggest feature we added was the time leap. The time leap may appear as a small change on the surface but under the hood, we had to adapt all the places where dates and time were used. Let’s dive into the survey results.

  • First thing. We implemented the automatic leveling of employees. Around 50% seems to really like the change and around 30% answered that it’s fine. There were a few comments in the forums that mentioned that if the level automation is enabled that also no notifications should be shown. What do you think?
  • Another question we asked you was how happy you are with how the attribute points are distributed, when the automatic leveling is enabled. Around 10 % mentioned that the wrong attributes are improved? Could you give us some examples?
  • We are happy that around 60% like the new time leap feature. Around 19% said that they don’t like that and that they keep playing with 1 year per round.
  • Spreading fleas got a big hit with the Nerf hammer and it seems the majority is very happy with that. Nevertheless there are lots of comments that there is no way to protect against kids. We are currently thinking about a potential solution that works with the features we have already in place. Stay tuned.

Thank you all for your time and feedback!
