Scenario Map: Burgundy

CityBurgundy

A while ago, we told you about the Hansa and Magdeburg maps, and now we are telling you about the Burgundy area. In The Guild 3, there will be many city maps available. But you already know all that, right 😉 ?

But first, let’s start with a little historic information about this Burgundy area; during the Middle Ages, Burgundy was the seat of the more important Western churches and monasteries (like Cluny and Cîteaux), and it has become, over the centuries, an historical and multifaceted territory. It also takes its name from the Burgundians, Germanic people, and has often referred to numerous political entities, including kingdoms and duchies spanning territories. Today it is certainly known for many great products like its red and white wines (it is France’s main wine producing area, after all), its famous cuisine and its industry based on agriculture, textile, high-tech and communication sectors. But in spite of transforming itself through technology in order to stay economically relevant, Burgundy never ceased to fascinate, thanks to its rich history and valued traditions. The past has turned it into a land of art and culture, still beloved today, all around the world.

So, in The Guild 3, there will be several amazing maps with many cities available in each and every one of them, and the Burgundy map won’t disappoint either. There will be a few cities showcased in it: like Dijon, Dole and Chalon, among others. And on this week’s pictures, you can see Dijon and Dole, with all its space, cliffs and rivers. But even if they are in the same map, keep in mind that they are quite different. Dijon, the first one, is actually the seat of the duke of Burgundy in the game and it is the administrative center. Its abundance will be plain for all to see And Dole, the second one, is more of a countryside area with its wide fields, who are especially there for all the farming and logging businesses.
